Tannenbaum Helpern Makes Key Additions to Cybersecurity and Data Privacy and Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Groups

New York, NY, June 10, 2024—Tannenbaum Helpern is pleased to welcome Colleen García as Of Counsel to the Firm’s Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice, and Timothy S. Klimpl as Of Counsel to the Firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice.

Colleen’s practice involves drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, advising on legal and regulatory data privacy compliance, creating and implementing cybersecurity and incident response plans, data protection and breach prevention plans, and drafting and reviewing privacy policies and terms of use. Prior to joining the Firm, Colleen was Founding Partner at Fractional GCs and continues as an Adjunct Associate Professor of IT, Cybersecurity and the Public Sector at The LBJ School of Public Affairs.

Of Counsel Timothy S. Klimpl joins the Firm from Shipman & Goodwin LLP to lead Tannenbaum Helpern’s newly established Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice. Tim's practice is focused on providing ERISA advice and related services to a variety of plan sponsors on employee benefit plans, including corporate, nonprofit, and governmental plans providing retirement, health, and other employee welfare benefits.

Tim’s practice extends to advising employers and senior-level employees in M&A transactions concerning equity and incentive compensation. He advises his clients on matters involving stock options, restricted stock and “phantom equity," deferred compensation plans, and executive employment and severance agreements. Tim’s clients span the financial, private equity, real estate, construction, clean energy, medical, fashion, talent acquisition, and legal industries.
