Legislative Success on Behalf of the Staffing Industry

Our employment law attorneys have represented the legal and legislative interests of many members of the staffing industry, including through our work on behalf of and as General Counsel to the New York Staffing Association. Members of our employment law team traveled to Albany to meet with high-level representatives of the New York State Department of Labor to discuss the undue burdens placed on staffing firms by the New York Wage Theft Prevention Act's employee wage notice requirements. This meeting and other productive communications with the Department resulted in creation of special agency rules and exemptions for the staffing industry, which reduced many of our clients' regulatory burden and enabled them to comply with the law.
