Development of Two Phase Residential Tower with Retail and Community Space

Tannenbaum Helpern's construction law attorneys represent a large real estate entity in the construction of a two phase mixed use project in Brooklyn, New York. Phase I consists of the demolition of an existing building and the development of a mixed use building containing approximately 140,000 square feet of small format retail, parking, and commercial office space. Phase II consists of the demolition of retail and community establishments and the development of approximately 870,000 square feet of market rate rental apartments and associated amenities, retail space, and parking facilities. Tannenbaum Helpern's construction attorneys have negotiated and are currently negotiating on the client's behalf, all of the contracts with design professionals and contractors, license agreements with adjacent properties and lease terminations with current tenants of the existing property.
