Video: Annual Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Video Transcript:

I'm Elizabeth Schlissel and this is Tannenbaum Helpern's HRMinute. While many companies continue to operate remotely, they still must comply with employment laws and regulations. New York employers are required to conduct annual sexual harassment prevention training. This training is mandated by both New York State and New York City. Employers should use this training as an opportunity to communicate with their employees about appropriate workplace behavior while working remotely. In addition, employers should emphasize that the respectful workplace extends beyond the four walls of the office. Employers should also remind employees that the company's policies that are included in their handbook, including the anti-discrimination policy and anti-harassment policy, apply to the remote work environment.
