Harassment Prevention Training Program for New York Staffing Firms

09.05.2019  •  Press Release

New York, NY —On August 23, 2019, the American Staffing Association (ASA) and the New York Staffing Association (NYSA) launched an online interactive harassment prevention training program for staffing companies operating in the state of New York. The content of the ASA-NYSA harassment prevention training is specific to staffing firms and was developed by Tannenbaum Helpern’s Staffing Industry practice together with ASA’s legal department.

“The ASA-NYSA harassment prevention training program offers a flexible and cost-effective option for staffing firms to meet New York’s mandatory requirement,” said Joel A. Klarreich, NYSA’s General Counsel and Chair of Tannenbaum Helpern’s Staffing Industry practice.

“The anti-harassment training course is tailored to address the unique issues within the staffing industry and complies with New York State and New York City mandates. We are delighted to collaborate with ASA and NYSA to create this efficient training for their members,” added Jason B. Klimpl, NYSA’s Associate General Counsel.

The deadline is fast approaching. New York employers must ensure all their employees receive and complete harassment prevention training by October 9, 2019.
