New York, NY —We are pleased to announce that 22 Tannenbaum Helpern attorneys were selected for inclusion in the 2020 New York Metro Super Lawyers list and 13 to Rising Stars. With no more than five percent of the lawyers in a state recognized in the annual Super Lawyers list and no more than two and a half percent to the Rising Stars list, this speaks to the talent of Tannenbaum Helpern attorneys.

Special congratulations to Tannenbaum Helpern’s commercial litigator Paul D. Sarkozi, co-chair of Tannenbaum Helpern’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice, and construction attorney Kenneth M. Block, co-chair of the firm’s Construction Law Practice, who have been selected to the Top 100 New York Metro Super Lawyers List. 2020 marks the ninth consecutive year that Sarkozi has made the Top 100 list and the fourth time Block has made the Top 100 list.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service identifying outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process that includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. To be selected as a Super Lawyer, attorneys are evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including verdicts, settlements and transactions, experience, representative clients, position within the law firm, writings, and bar and community activities. Rising Star status is earned by up-and-coming attorneys who are not older than 40 or have been in practice for 10 or fewer years. Selections are made on an annual, state by state basis.
