Biography

Mohammed A. Alam is a member of Tannenbaum Helpern’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. His experience includes representing companies and individuals in various commercial disputes and contract litigations.

Mohammed has represented clients in the construction and development industries, banks and other financial institutions, utility providers, commercial landlords and tenants, cannabis companies, and in matters relating to voting rights and elections. He has also represented educational institutions, government entities, and municipalities as well as their officials, on a variety of litigation and regulatory matters in both state and federal courts.

Mohammed also has an extensive political and governmental background that includes working with the White House, U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and the New York City Council. He currently serves as Vice Chair for the New York State Democratic Party, and General Counsel for Young Democrats of America. Mohammed also serves as an Elector on behalf of the State of New York for the 2024 Presidential Elections.
