Quantitative Solution Specialist and Deputy Team Leader in the Enterprise Data Department | Bloomberg LP
Chuan Shi is currently a Quantitative Solution Specialist and Deputy Team Leader in the Enterprise Data Department at Bloomberg LP. Ms. Shi has over eight years of sales management experience, partnering with both buy-side and sell-side financial firms to implement quantitative trading strategies and to further enhance quantamental research platforms. Ms. Shi has successfully led several major sales initiatives to expand Bloomberg’s share in the pricing and liquidity data solutions market across the North American hedge funds.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Shi was a core terminal sales relationship manager in the Financial Services Department covering hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds. Ms. Shi started her career at Bloomberg in the Analytics department covering fixed income and mortgage backed securities products. Ms. Shi received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Financial Economics at Fordham University with a cum laude designation. Her dissertation focused on the statistical approaches to researching dynamic correlations between China’s onshore and offshore capital markets and exploring how the “global factor” or VIX influences the China’s financial markets. Prior to completing her post-bachelorette studies, Ms. Shi received her B.A in Finance with summa cum laude designation from Manhatanville College.
Ms. Shi is recipient of the 2019 Outstanding 50 Asian American in Business Awards by the Asian American Business Development Center. She is also a member of the Bloomberg Pan Asia Community Board where she leads volunteering initiatives that contribute to philanthropic programs across New York, while also advancing diversity and inclusion programs at Bloomberg.

Michele Itri is a partner in Tannenbaum Helpern’s Tax Law Practice and focuses on the tax and legal aspects of onshore and offshore investment funds, financial instruments, international transactions, and corporate and real estate transactions. She works closely with clients to structure transactions to achieve the most favorable tax results. Prior to joining Tannenbaum Helpern, Michele was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Dewey Ballantine LLP. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School (J.D. 1998) and Colgate University (B.A. 1995).
Chief Economist, Financial Products & Head of Central Banks and Government Financial Agencies | Bloomberg LP
Michael McDonough is the Chief Economist for Financial Products at Bloomberg LP where he provides guidance on economic trends, strategic insight and outreach to central banks and government financial agencies around the world.
Michael’s previous roles at Bloomberg include building the company's first global team of economists, who provides in‐depth analysis of macroeconomic data, policy and trends as well as a voice at crucial financial conferences. Prior to managing the economists, he oversaw Bloomberg’s global economic business, including product development and data acquisition on the Bloomberg Professional Services. Michael also spent two years in Hong Kong where he focused on Asian markets while launching Bloomberg’s research business in Asia.
Michael started his career as an economist and global-macro strategist covering Latin America at Deutsche Bank and served as an independent consultant throughout the Asia region, advising hedge funds, central banks and government organizations about macro-trading strategies.
Timothy C. Ng
Chief Investment Officer | Clearbrook Global Advisors
Tim joined Clearbrook Global Advisors in 2010 and serves as Chief Investment Officer, as well as Head of the Clearbrook Investment Committee. Within this role, Tim with over 35 years of investment experience is involved in global macro and manager research, portfolio analysis and risk management. In his career, Tim has had oversight over billions of dollars of investor capital on behalf of corporations, pension funds, endowments and foundations, banks, investment advisory firms, and family offices. These investors have been located in the US, Europe, Asia and South America. His areas investment expertise span from traditional equities, fixed income, securitized credit, options/derivatives, hedge funds, to real estate, private equity, venture capital and infrastructure.
Over the years, Tim has been a Managing Director and/or Partner at firms such as Smith Barney and Oppenheimer & Company. Tim has made guess appearances on CNBC’s “Squawk Box”, “Power Lunch” and Bloomberg News. He has been a contributor and writer of financial articles published in several publications including the Wall Street Journal, Pensions & Investments, Business Insider and Bloomberg News. Tim’s prior and current professional affiliations include Associated Commodities Person (Series 3), Registered Securities Representative (Series 7), Registered Securities Principal (Series 24), Uniform Securities Agent (Series 63), Registered Investment Advisor (Series 65) and Representative Private Securities (Series 82). Tim received a BA in Economics from Stony Brook University and an MBA with honors, Magna Cum Laude, from Long Island University.

Bruce G. Wilcox
Investment Committee Chair of Teachers College of Columbia University and Co-Founder of E Street Management LLC
Bruce spent over twenty four years with Cumberland Associates, a long/short equity fund founded in 1970. Cumberland followed a research-driven approach with a long-term value orientation. He rose from an analyst focused on energy and financials to portfolio manager and ultimately served as CEO and Chairman of the Management Committee with broad operational, human resources and investment responsibilities. Bruce’s research methodology as an analyst and portfolio manager turned on an “appraisal” methodology which focused on management’s capital budgeting, ROIC and process advantages, a background that is highly transferable to evaluating investment managers.
Over fourteen years as CEO of Cumberland, Bruce invested a significant part of his time in hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating and occasionally firing junior analysts/pm’s and partners. More recently, Bruce has served as a Managing Member of Xiling Group, LLC, a private equity strategy investing in museum-quality imperial Chinese porcelains. He earned a Master of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management and a BA in modern Chinese with honors from University of California Santa Barbara. Bruce chairs the investment committee of Teachers College of Columbia University and serves on the board of the UC Santa Barbara Foundation (former Foundation Chair and Investment Committee Chair), the Manhattan Institute, and NXT Energy Solutions Inc. He previously chaired the investment committee for The Brearley School.
