Secured an injunction against infringement of copyright in client’s photograph
Our client learned that a noted contemporary artist had profited hugely from copying the client's photograph in three-dimensional sculptural form and selling the sculptures as contemporary art. THSH brought suit in federal court and secured an injunction barring the infringement that was affirmed on appeal to the United States Court of Appeals, and successfully convinced the United States Supreme Court to decline to review that result.
THSH successfully moved for Summary Judgment in the case, thus avoiding the time and expense of a trial.
