Negotiation of Wealth Management Group’s Relationship with Large Investment Bank

A wealth management team with AUM of several billion dollars retained Tannenbaum Helpern to advise it on its move from one major investment bank to another, including in the negotiation of various related agreements and the formation and operation of a registered investment management entity to be housed within the bank. The project called for the knowledge and skills of lawyers from the Firm's Corporate, Employment, Financial Services and Tax practices. The transaction involved specific knowledge of various compensation mechanisms, applicable securities and tax regulation, and individual estate planning-related issues.
