Tannenbaum Helpern's Drew Jaglom participated in a panel discussion and a plenary session:

  • At 1:35pm, "A Road Map to Regulatory and Legal Issues in Cross-Border Franchising and Distribution," Drew and fellow speakers discussed the FTC franchise rule, the NY franchise sales act, the Arthur Wishart act, alternative structures for a distribution program, key business and legal issues in cross-border franchise, licensing and distribution transactions, and tax consequences and options.
  • At 3:15pm, "The Evolving Practice of International Business Law," Drew and fellow panelists covered current trends in international business law, advantages and drawbacks of differing business models and prospects for the future. Drew focused on developments relating to non-lawyer ownership of law firms in various jurisdictions.
