Max has represented individuals and corporations in a variety of complex
commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts and before administrative
agencies. His experience includes representing insurance companies in
disputes involving coverage, rescission, and securities fraud, and defending
health supplement manufacturers against allegations of false advertising
and consumer fraud violations. Max also has experience representing low-income
individuals in family court, where he has secured orders of divorce, custody,
and child support on behalf of pro bono clients.
While attending the New York University School of Law, Max served as a
clinical intern at the Federal Defenders of New York, Southern District
of New York office. He was also an articles editor of the N.Y.U. Journal
of Legislation and Public Policy. In Summer 2013, Max served as an extern
to the Honorable Jeffrey Cole, United States Magistrate Judge, Northern
District of Illinois.
