Practice Description:
Renee J. Silver has represented purchasers and owners in all phases of residential real estate transactions, including cooperative and condominium residences and single-family homes. Her other practice areas include employment law, franchise law, health care compliance, corporate, and corporate transactional work.
Renee also has more than twenty years of experience in representing publicly-traded staffing industry and home health care companies, most of them as the sole in-house corporate counsel responsible for all of the corporations' legal needs.
Renee provided legal support for all divisions of these companies, including general corporate matters; employment law; defense of sexual harassment charges, employment discrimination claims and non-competition and confidentiality agreements; preparation and negotiation of employment and severance release agreements, commercial service contracts; franchise relations and contract negotiations.
As Corporate Compliance Officer for Tender Loving Care Health Care Services, Inc., Renee also implemented and maintained the Compliance Plan, provided counsel in the areas of health care licensure and regulatory compliance and fraud and abuse detection and prevention, and conducted company-wide compliance training.
