John-Patrick Curran focuses on environmental and construction law, representing commercial and industrial real property owners, operators, developers, construction managers, contractors and lenders. John assists clients in navigating complex issues relating to real estate development, property management and management of environmental conditions at facilities throughout the United States. John also has extensive experience in all aspects of sophisticated commercial litigation and dispute resolution, in both federal and state courts, involving environmental, real estate, construction, employment, franchise and commercial unfair competition and non-competition matters.

Significant Matters:
Premier Storage Solutions of L.I. City, LLC v. Virginia Peterson, et al., (S.D.N.Y. 2004). Represented the plaintiff in an action against the prior owners of a parcel of commercial property in Long Island City to recover the costs incurred by the plaintiff to complete a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Voluntary Cleanup Agreement.

Paraco Gas Corporation v. AGA Gas Inc., 253 F.Supp.2d 563 (S.D.N.Y 2003). Represented the defendant-counterclaimant in the prosecution of costs recovery claims against the prior owner of a parcel of commercial real estate for damages related to petroleum contamination.

Bor Corp. v. ADT Automotive, Inc. (SDNY 1996). Represented ADT Automotive, Inc. in connection with purchase price adjustment claims arising form the acquisition of motor vehicle auction business

Matter of FBN Food Services, Inc., 82 F.3d 1387, 35 Collier Bankr.Cas.2d 1193, 29 Bankr.Ct.Dec. 29, 7 th Cir. (III.), May 02, 1996 and In re FBN Food Service, Inc., 175 B.R. 671, 32 Collier Bankr.Cas.2d 1316, Bankr.N.D.III., Dec 06, 1994. Represented East River Savings Bank and its affiliates in the defense of RICO claims, a fraudulent conveyance action and related litigation in the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the courts of the State of Illinois that arose from loans made by East River Savings Bank to the operators of group of Taco Bell and Sizzler restaurants.
